Join to apply for theAssistant Estates Manager - Passive Fire Protectionrole atEquans UK & Ireland .Equans is looking for an Assistant Estates Manager for Fire Protection Projects to join our team at Queen Elizabeth Hospital on an 18-month fixed-term contract. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week, offering a competitive salary and benefits package.The role involves assisting in the delivery of a Passive Fire Protection Remediation project and implementing active fire solutions. It is crucial for maintaining high standards of estate management, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and proper documentation.Responsibilities include:Managing daily Passive Fire Protection work streams and liaising with construction and non-construction parties.Organizing and storing project records in accordance with company procedures.Managing and directing staff safely and efficiently.Participating in meetings to coordinate access for remedial works.Carrying out Authorised Person isolations for electrical and medical gases as needed.Adhering to HR and Health & Safety policies.Deputising for the Senior Project Manager during absences.Ensuring compliance with all relevant standards, regulations, and statutory requirements.Managing incidents of non-compliance and reporting unsafe conditions.Maintaining compliance records and conducting safety audits.Participating in shift work and emergency duties as required.Undertaking additional estate and facilities duties as directed.Participating in training and professional development.What we offer:24 days annual leave plus public holidaysLife Cover (1.5x salary)Employee discounts, gym, cycle schemes, and moreLearning opportunities and professional developmentEmployee networks and support programsEmployee Assistance Program and mental wellbeing supportCandidate requirements:Approved electrical installation apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications (City & Guilds, HTM, etc.)Authorised Person status in electrical/medical gases as applicableStrong communication and management skillsKnowledge of relevant health and safety legislation and technical standardsAbility to manage teams and work independentlyEligibility to work in the UK; DBS check requiredAbout us: Equans is a global leader in energy services, with a strong presence in the UK & Ireland, focusing on sustainable and innovative solutions.
