This role offers a unique opportunity to innovate and develop future programs of involvement within the Trust. As a vital member of the Involved Team, you will provide information, advice, and guidance to service users, carers, and visitors. Your role will support all involvement initiatives through the Involvement Register, actively working to increase and embed engagement trust-wide. The post holder will offer best practice guidance on service user and carer involvement, collaborating with teams to ensure their voices inform service design, development, and delivery. A significant part of the role involves onboarding and ongoing training of Involve members. Main DutiesSupport the Involve Team using recognized national standards of co-production to ensure involvement is central to service improvement. Promote the Trust's values to ensure high standards of service, communication, and practice. Guide staff on co-production and involvement best practices. Be the first point of contact for IR participants needing support in involvement projects. Provide pre- and post-engagement support via phone or email. Increase participant numbers on the Involvement Register through networking, meetings, and events. Participate in department or service events to support the team. Collaborate with other directorates, especially Quality Improvement and Patient Experience, to strengthen networks. Use data to identify areas needing additional support to enhance involvement activities. Provide expert advice in meetings and committees. Personal experience with mental health services as a user or carer is desirable. Keep up-to-date with current project trends in mental health, liaising with colleagues in the South London Partnership. Understand care pathways, community services, and statutory service organization, funding, and pressures. Analyze service user feedback to identify trends and develop action plans. Support projects to meet targets and deadlines, facilitating participation opportunities and working with service users and carers to develop and implement feedback-based action plans. Advise staff on involving service users and families to ensure their lived experience informs service development and delivery. Person SpecificationExperience (Essential)Proven experience working with the public, service users, and carers, handling sensitive and confidential information.
