This is a rare opportunity for the right candidate to work with the Founding Director of Performing Arts to help shape and develop world-class Performing Arts provision from the ground up. The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for technical management and oversight of the School’s professional-standard theatre, as well as production management, Front of House and facilities management responsibilities, the precise details of which will be shaped by the qualifications and experience of the post holder. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Oversee the daily operations and scheduling of the School’s drama and performing arts spaces, ensuring all teaching, rehearsal, and production needs are met. Support the Director of Performing Arts in delivering a vibrant co-curricular theatre programme, including student clubs and activities. Recruit, train, and manage a student production crew, allocating roles and overseeing their contributions to individual productions. Lead the planning and delivery of productions, including creating production schedules, chairing meetings, and managing budgets. Ensure all theatre spaces and activities adhere to high standards of health, safety, and maintenance, including risk assessments and safety protocols. Contribute technical expertise to productions and assist in technical supervision, fire stewarding, or front-of-house roles during performances. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to meet technical requirements and support community partnership opportunities through the performing arts. Help maintain an organised, inspiring theatre environment and assist with staff recruitment and management as the department grows.
