Behaviour Support Assistant - Education and Training - Milton KeynesThe role offers valuable experience working with vulnerable students, aiming to increase their engagement, attainment, and life chances, with the goal of preventing entry into the criminal justice system.You will collaborate with teachers and specialist staff to support students with special educational needs (SEN) and various social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges and traumas. Some children and young people may have experienced adverse childhood experiences; your role includes identifying their risks and needs and escalating concerns when necessary. Many face barriers that increase their risk of negative outcomes. Your work will provide consistency and equip children and young people with tools to feel safe, secure, empowered, and confident in their ability to succeed.This role provides excellent practical experience with vulnerable, hard-to-reach students, ideal for those considering a career in outreach or non-profit organizations.
