About the role: As a UX Designer, you will work as part of a multi-disciplinary Product, Delivery & UX team leading a user-centred design process to explore, validate, and deliver best-in-class user experience design for Matalan's customers, across platforms including the Web, Mobile Apps, and internal Matalan colleague tooling. You will collaborate closely with Internal and External UX and Product teams, utilizing quantitative insights and qualitative research methods to develop wireframes and prototypes from initial business requirements. You will also be part of a broader cross-functional Agile Delivery Team, working with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and QA Engineers to create optimal digital experiences for our customers. Key Responsibilities: Understand product specifications and Matalan customers. Support and conduct research initiatives to uncover insights and identify customer needs. Work with Web Insights teams to translate insights into outcomes. Utilize qualitative and quantitative data to inform design solutions. Articulate findings as actionable problem statements and hypotheses. Facilitate cross-functional workshops to generate design solutions. Prototype at various fidelities, from sketches to interactive prototypes. Create design artefacts to communicate with developers and product team members. Develop user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity designs. Innovate solutions to UX problems like usability and findability. Collaborate with Research and Experimentation teams to iterate designs. Communicate ideas and prototypes effectively to developers and product managers. Support developers during the launch process. Stay informed about competitor products and industry trends. Create and update the UI kit across digital platforms. Coordinate with Marketing to ensure brand and product alignment. Seek and give feedback to maintain high-quality design standards. You are self-motivated, accountable, and focused on outcomes. You have experience with A/B and multivariate testing.
