The School of Biomedical Engineering and Imaging Sciences focuses on medical imaging and computational modelling, encouraging interdisciplinary research and collaboration with clinical departments. The King’s College London and Guy’s & St Thomas PET Centre is a leading UK clinical PET facility, providing extensive research and clinical services, including advanced imaging technologies like Total Body PET scanners. Our research department comprises about 50 scientists and clinicians working on radiopharmaceutical development, theragnostics, nanotechnology, and more, with significant infrastructure and a global research impact. About the role We seek two experienced clinical academics to join our PET Centre and Research Departments at Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. You will be responsible for clinical PET imaging services, supporting research programs, and contributing to education and supervision of students and fellows. Candidates must be fully trained in clinical PET imaging, registered with the GMC, possess an ARSAC licence, and be on the Specialist Register. Your duties include reporting, MDT participation, developing imaging protocols, and ensuring safety and best practices. Academic activities will focus on unmet needs like TBP imaging, theragnostics, and advanced metabolic imaging, linked with clinical trials and other imaging modalities.
