This is a rare opportunity to join from the very beginning and take the reins of a flagship venue from day one - shaping the team, the experience, and the culture of what’s set to become a landmark in the city’s independent food and drink scene. The core ingredients of your role: Leading the venue’s full operations, front and back of house, day-to-day Driving an exceptional guest experience across food, drink, service, and atmosphere Building and inspiring a high-performing team culture from recruitment through to development Managing budgets, stock, rotas, supplier relationships, and financial performance Ensuring smooth-running systems, compliance, and brand standards Working closely with the Head Chef to deliver a strong food offering and exciting events programme Acting as the face of the venue – engaging with both guests, teams, and the wider community We’re looking for someone with proven leadership experience, a passion for beer, and the drive to make Kapital a true food & drink destination in Sheffield from the get go. What we need from you : 1+ years’ experience in a General Manager or Assistant Manager role in hospitality Proven ability to lead, motivate, and grow a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment A love of hospitality and creating memorable guest moments A strong, proven grasp of operational processes including P&L, compliance, staffing and stock Experience working with food-led venues and coordinating with kitchen teams A collaborative, people-first mindset with a natural flair for leadership Driven, detail-focused and ready to help launch one of Sheffield’s most exciting new openings Availability for interview: 7th-9th May 2025 Availability to start your role: 9th-13th June 2025 Who we are At Kapital Beer Hall & Restaurant, we’re proud to be an award-winning, independent local business — not a large, impersonal corporation.
