We work together at all levels of our team to create a supportive and pro-active environment to achieve this.Role overview This role involves undertaking fee-earning work, contributing to the department’s profitability, and meeting key performance targets. The successful candidate will handle all aspects of property litigation matters for both commercial and private clients while building and developing their own caseload. Responsibilities include business development through networking and seminars, maintaining high standards of client care, collaborating with other departments, and developing specialist expertise, all in line with the firm’s Business Plan.How you will make an impact Key tasks, duties, and quality standards:Assist the department in meeting its fee-earning targets by advising and assisting clients within the department and other departments of the firm.Conduct matters on behalf of clients.Manage support services, including supervising your secretary if appropriate.Participate in marketing and networking activities at firm-wide, departmental, or office levels.Maintain financial control, especially regarding cash flow, collection of monies, and billing procedures.Participate fully in the Dispute Resolution team activities.Utilize and develop the skills of any department Trainee and assist with their training.Support during the absence of other fee earners.Work outside normal hours if required.Travel to client meetings both within and outside the UK when necessary.Promote good file management practices.Assist with formulating and improving internal procedures.Undertake other duties as required and agreed.Ensure compliance with regulatory procedures.Maintain professional knowledge, including achieving annual CPD points.Other Act in accordance with TWM Solicitors’ core values (TWM Cares) at all times.This role will be based at our Guildford and/or Leatherhead office, with travel to other locations as required.Qualifications A good honours degree followed by LPC, training contract, and PSC, or a good honours degree followed by SQE and qualifying work experience, or a good honours degree with CILEX to Fellow level, LPC, PSC, and admission by SRA as a solicitor.Essential personal qualities, skills, and abilitiesTechnical competence in property litigation law and practice.Achieves targets in chargeable hours, fees, recovery rate, lock-up, and non-chargeable time.Develops and maintains a client/referrer base.Understands and properly refers work to relevant departments, and develops work for others.Willing to participate in firm activities outside of work related to the department.Supervises junior staff where appropriate and contributes to practice development.Strong interpersonal, social, and communication skills, with sensitivity to vulnerable clients.Sound training and ability to work effectively as part of a team and under pressure.Proficient in computer use and developing its application in their role.Enthusiasm and commitment.Knowledge of professional conduct rules, client care, conflicts of interest, confidentiality, and relations with third parties and other solicitors.Understanding of regulatory and compliance procedures.Specialist knowledge in property litigation.Desirable knowledge, skills, and competenciesPrior experience with Practice Evolve or similar systems.Existing client following.Our benefits and rewards FinancialCompetitive salary with annual reviews.Annual bonus scheme.5% employer pension contribution.Death in Service benefit of 4 x salary.Interest-free season ticket loan.Paid professional memberships.Long service rewards.Health and WellbeingPrivate medical cover.Life Assurance of 4 x salary.Company sick pay.Cycle to Work scheme.Employee Assistance Programme.Health and Wellbeing initiatives.Regular socials.Work Life Enrichment25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays.Enhanced maternity/paternity leave, shared parental leave, and adoption benefits.Flexible/hybrid working.Sabbaticals.Study Leave.Learning and Development TWM is committed to developing its people through:Annual Performance Reviews.Personal Career Progression Plans.Trainee Solicitor Programme.Extensive CPD programme.Contact us If interested, please send your CV and covering letter to the provided contact.TWM Solicitors () is an Equal Opportunities Employer.
