Role Overview:Do you want to drive forward the circular economy and influence future waste legislation? We’re seeking a Senior Advisor to join our Producer Responsibility team to help deliver the Government’s Resources and Waste Strategy. You will collaborate with Environment Agency colleagues, Defra, UK devolved administrations, and industry stakeholders to implement significant legislative reforms. You need to be adaptable, self-motivated, and capable of translating policy into action. Your main responsibilities will include: Working closely with stakeholders across government, industry, and the Environment Agency to influence and implement legislation related to workstreams such as Packaging and Deposit Return Scheme. Providing technical advice within the Environment Agency and to industry partners. Driving reforms in waste management to improve how waste is managed in England, including shaping digital systems and policy development. We operate as a dispersed team, utilizing smart tools to stay connected and minimize travel, though some travel and overnight stays may be necessary. The TeamYou will join our Producer Responsibility Team, which leads waste regulation reforms to ensure resource conservation and waste minimization.
