Well support you in completing your programme and youll be part of our growing community of apprenticesThis job does not meet Skilled Worker visa sponsorship requirementsWe thrive through diversity and value the variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and opinions in the room and if you value this too, theres a place for you with usWhat you'll doAs an Electrical Engineering Apprentice within our Digital X Core Solutions Team you will:Operate and Maintain data centre mechanical and electrical infrastructureProvide 24/7 attendance on site to respond to emerging situations that put the technology systems at risk of disruptionIdentify and control health and safety risks to you, colleagues and vendors that may occur due to work activitiesSupport the planned activities to ensure that the plant and systems remain within relevant statutory compliance and regulatory requirementsWhat youll learnTaking on an apprentice role could be a fantastic starting point or change for your career. Youll have strong communication, stakeholder management and interpersonal skills with the ability to build, maintain and enhance relationships at all levels.Youll also need:An interest in Electrical EngineeringTo be able to travel to both Edinburgh College and Melville Gate Data Centre from your home addressThe ability to maintain a strong customer focusAn innovative and creative mindsetGood problem-solving skills and a proactive and inquisitive mindset, with the ability to challenge and offer solutionsAn analytical, numerate, and logical skillset with the ability to adapt well to changeGood planning and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage your time effectivelyWhat else you need to knowAn Apprenticeship is a development programme.
