Exeter City PCN is expanding to provide prescription support for member practices, and we are looking for a dynamic, proactive individual to join our PCN Pharmacy team as a Prescription Co-Ordinator. This role would suit someone who already works within a GP practice prescribing team or has knowledge of issuing prescriptions. You will work alongside the existing PCN Pharmacy team, comprising Pharmacy Technicians and Clinical Pharmacists, at the HUB office to deliver an effective Prescription Service to our PCN. This is a developing role, so you will be expected to undertake training, work under the guidance of the PCN pharmacy team, and your role may be amended as the service expands. Main duties of the jobKEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Work in a supportive role within the team, collaborating with pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, and member practices of the PCN. Liaise with patients, healthcare professionals, product suppliers, and community pharmacies regarding prescription requests. Act as a point of contact for the PCN concerning prescriptions. Receive, prioritize, and process multiple medicine requests in accordance with target times and clinical priorities. Use skills to manage incoming requests, ensuring they are dealt with promptly and referred to the appropriate team member. Support the team in coordinating daily duties. Work within your competency and ensure training is up to date. Record and report any errors to your line manager.
