Job Summary: DHL Supply Chain DekalbProvide security detail as outlined in the post orders and establish working relationships with customers, local law enforcement, and fire departments. Security personnel will always perform job duties with a constant awareness of surroundings, making note of all activity that takes place in the assigned area. Security Officers must maintain a professional image and always demonstrate excellent customer service. Basic FunctionsControl of entrances and movement of pedestrian and vehicle traffic. Patrol of buildings and perimeters. Escort of material and personnel. Inspection of security and fire exposures. Special assignments. ResponsibilitiesDuties may vary depending on department size, organizational structure, geographic location, and post assignments. Reasonable accommodations may be made for certain ADA requirements. The overall function of officers is to provide security as described below (duties may vary depending on post orders): Be on time and report to post in full uniform. Maintain a professional image, greeting customers, visitors, and employees politely and friendly. Be proactive in knowing all revisions to post orders and general information distributed by the customer and AFS. Patrol physical property or maintain fixed post position, diligently reporting suspicious activity and investigating incidents and criminal acts. Monitor cameras or equipment continuously as outlined in the post orders. Maintain knowledge of emergency policies, procedures, and regulations to respond effectively to alarms, incidents, and emergencies. Complete Daily Activity Reports, Log Book entries, Incident Reports, and all relevant reports related to the job. Make recommendations to management on safety and loss prevention improvements identified during routine patrols. Have knowledge of life safety systems, fire panels, CCTV systems, and other equipment to complete assignments. Ensure continuous and safe operation of elevators and access doors. Know authorized personnel responsible for maintenance. Ensure training and compliance guidelines are met as outlined by AFS and other regulatory agencies. Communicate daily with Security Supervisor about new issues or changes needing consideration or implementation. Skills and AbilitiesHonest, alert, and disciplined, responsible for employee and customer safety and property. Constant vigilance and dedication. Strong customer service skills, aligning with Andy Frain Services Mission Statement. Results-oriented, capable of handling multiple priorities.
