Job Title: Internal Audit VP – Asset & Wealth Manager – Private Wealth ManagementWorking schedule:• 5 days on-site (non-negotiable)Engagement: 6 months contract to hireDay to Day:Our client, a global leader in the financial services industry, is seeking an Internal Audit Vice President to join their Wealth Management Internal Audit team. This role focuses on private wealth management, particularly for ultra-high-net-worth individuals (ULHWI), and retail banking, including the firm's Marcus platform. The ideal candidate will lead and expand the Asset and Wealth Management Internal Audit team, conduct walkthroughs, follow up on audit issues, and engage in discussions with senior stakeholders. They will also participate in initiatives to enhance Internal Audit processes and infrastructure, manage multiple audit engagements, and develop a deep understanding of business areas, products, and functions. Additionally, the candidate will prepare and present audit findings to senior management and business clients, ensuring audit fieldwork is well-focused and documented to high standards. Strong leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills are essential for this role.MUST HAVE:7+ years of experience in a public accounting, audit (ideally internal audit), or a related control function role, within the financial services industryKnowledge and expertise of risks and associated controls with Private Wealth Management and/or Retail BankingUnderstanding of compliance program components, risk and control processesAbility to identify risks, assess mitigating controls, and make recommendations on improving the control environmentExperience monitoring management's implementation of control measuresVery strong written and verbal communicationStrong leadership, interpersonal, and relationship management skillsPLUSSES:Compliance or quality assurance testing experienceRelevant certification or industry accreditation (e.g., CAMS, CIA)ACCA/ACA QualifiedGraduate degree, preferably in a related subject; advanced degree an additional bonusHighly motivated with the ability to multi-task and remain organized in a fast-paced environmentAccurate, accountable and able to multitask while managing both time and work loadTeam-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and accountabilityAble to work under minimal supervision on individual tasks or on team projects
