Were enabling a zero carbon, lower cost energy future for all, and working hard to decarbonise the planet for generations to come.About the role:As part of the Operational Excellence & Business Services team within Drax Energy Solutions, the EV Risk & Governance Manager will;- Embed a risk and control management framework across the EV business, working closely with DES Risk & Governance and Compliance- Act as a key intermediary with the Regulation and Compliance teams, and DES Risk & Control, to build and maintain strong, effective relationships that enables our EV business to be compliant by design.- Co-create and contribute content for the DES Risk Management & Compliance committee (RMCC) meetings throughout the year, drawing content from Copper incidents, and risk and control reviews.coach and educate colleagues on risk management, governance and controls - Use strong internal stakeholder management skills to influence the senior team in the EV business, with the confidence to influence and have challenging conversations.- Provide support and advice on ad-hoc risk, governance and compliance work as directed by the business.Who were looking for:To be successful in this role youll ideally have- A qualification in risk, compliance or governance.- A proven ability to challenge decisions and drive process improvements.- Strong people management skills with the ability to motivate and drive performance through others on a consistent basis through the application of coaching, influencing and negotiation techniques.- A deep understanding of governance, risk and compliance frameworks from design to implementation with strong understanding of risk mitigation and management.- A driven and enthusiastic approach, persistent in your approach to delivering against agreed business objectives.Rewards and benefits:As you help us to shape the future, weve shaped our rewards and benefits to help you thrive and supportyour lifestyle.
