Head of Data ArchitectureOur trusted partner is hiring a Head of Data Architecture to lead the data architectural strategy as our client transitions from legacy on-premise data systems to a cloud-first data approach. The ideal candidate is a people manager with recent architecture experience, capable of delivering new designs and modifications to existing or new business data solutions, leveraging tools such as Databricks, Datalakes, Synapse, and ER Studio, with experience in Azure or AWS.The client offers a basic salary of 100,000 to 120,000 plus a 40% LTIP bonus and a car allowance. The role is based in Chatham or Wolverhampton with a hybrid work model (some meetings in London possible). This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to lead the data architecture function, set architectural direction, and establish the enterprise data catalog during a pivotal period.Role and Responsibilities:Define and maintain the target data architecture and road map, including building out enterprise data platforms and expanding cloud technology use.Collaborate with senior stakeholders to promote the adoption of the target data architecture.Establish data architecture frameworks, standards, and patterns to ensure consistent storage, consumption, and data distribution.Lead the scoping and initial design phases of data projects.Develop and maintain key data architecture outputs, including an authoritative source catalog, with proper documentation and approval processes.Recruit and lead a small, high-performing team of data architects and analysts.Essential Experience:Recent experience as a head or senior manager in a data architecture environment, preferably within Financial Services.Strong knowledge of data solutions and the ability to translate them into business-relevant solutions.Recent exposure to modern data architectures using Azure Databricks, Synapse, ER Studio, etc.Domain experience in a regulated environment such as insurance, finance, or energy.Deep understanding and experience with cloud data architectures in Azure or AWS.Benefits Package:Salary circa 120,000, plus 40% LTIP bonus, car allowance, excellent pension, hybrid working, 30 days holiday, medical cover, and life cover. #J-18808-Ljbffr
