Whatever your ambition, Mott MacDonald is where people come to be brilliant.About The UnitThe Buildings Unit (BLD) has a major presence in Mott MacDonald's regional offices throughout the UK and mainland Europe, providing a wide range of diverse and transferable cross-sector skills across five key Sectors; Advisory, Built Environment, Energy, Transportation and Water. We also provide local services to customers and technical leadership to the rest of the Group in these sectors.Overview Of The RoleKey duties and responsibilities include:Lead the safe and successful delivery of projects to agreed time, cost and quality parametersLead the development and delivery of business casesPreparation and maintenance of programmes and schedules, including dependencies and resourcesIdentifying and monitoring project risks and opportunitiesEnsure quality management processes for project activities and outputsManage senior stakeholder relationshipsLead project governance reviewsProvide leadership and direction across all commercial, procurement and general project control functions, providing the necessary project management input to deliver projects within the agreed project parametersSuccessful administration of the NEC suite of contracts (or similar) for professional and contractor commissions as dictated by the projects, addressing performance to ensure contractually successful outcomesLiaise with the projects health, safety and wellbeing representative, acting on advice provided to ensure that project / contractor CDM and Health and Safety compliance matters are satisfactorily discharged and/or adhered toContribute to the business growth of the organisationCandidate SpecificationEssentialSignificant project management expertise across a range of disciplines, contract/procurement routes and market sectorsHold NEC Accreditation (3 or 4)Operate with strong commercial acumen and knowledge of planning and project controlsExpert communication skills including writing reports and presentingAbility to establish and maintain good working relationships with clients, stakeholders, colleagues and the supply chainAbility to demonstrate a flexible approach to work, this may involve regular travel to construction sites / client officesDesirableExperience working on large defence infrastructure (or equipment) projects, or equivalent across other sectorsAPM Chartered Project Professional status (ChPP), or equivalent ChartershipFull membership of the APM (MAPM)Ability to operate both autonomously and as a part of a larger teamLine management or team leader experienceExcellent IT Skills Word/Excel/PowerPointPlease be advised that offers for this role are conditional upon obtaining the appropriate level of Security Clearance.#CR-1UK ImmigrationMott MacDonald Ltd. are not currently offering sponsorship to candidates under the Skilled Worker visa route in the UK.
