We are excited to advertise for a Registered Nurse in the Specialist Learning Disability Service, focusing on mental health and children with Learning Disabilities. The service comprises Learning Disability nurses, Clinical Psychologists, Positive Behaviour Support Practitioners, Occupational Therapists, and Assistant Practitioners. It offers assessment, intervention, consultation, liaison, and training services for children and adolescents with diagnosed Learning Disabilities and Autism. The service supports children and adolescents with moderate to profound Learning Disabilities, including complex behavioral, health, or sleep issues related to these diagnoses. ResponsibilitiesWork within the Specialist Learning Disability Service, providing support and supervision to clinicians across all pathways. Ensure a strengths-based approach to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions for children with additional needs in the community. Contribute to risk assessment and care planning collaboratively with children, young people, and their carers. Provide assessment, advice, and specialist interventions to children, young people, and their families. Manage a caseload of children with complex needs, leading on mental health aspects for CYP with Learning Disabilities. Case management of children and young people with highly complex long-term conditions, utilizing evidence-based care.
