Job SummaryAre you interested in working on our 2026 season in a stunning 7-acre parkland, featuring a 600-seat outdoor theatre and a Grade I listed hall? Job DescriptionWe are seeking applications from directors for our Summer 2026 season, which includes the following productions: Twelfth Night One Man Two Guvnors Treasure Island We are looking for directors who can: Bring creative vision and energy to deliver these productions in our outdoor venue. Lead the cast collaboratively and work closely with our production support teams. The position offers: A fee of £1,500. Significant production budgets. Unpaid actors, directors, and crew, with professional support including wardrobe, technical, and company management teams. Flexible rehearsals from March onwards, with potential for earlier or later start dates. Assistant directors can provide additional support. Experience in delivering high-quality large-scale productions, preferably outdoors or with large performances, with trained amateur actors. The ability to plan, rehearse, and lead with vision and energy, typically involving 100-120 rehearsal hours, with support from assistant directors if available. Capability to deliver productions within budget and schedule. Legal right to work in the UK and DBS clearance for successful applicants.
