The role will involve inspecting incoming goods, in-process inspections on the shop floor, and supporting quality activities across the vendor base.Responsibilities:Inspection of incoming engineering components and fabricated partsReviewing weldments and machined items in materials such as mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, brass, and industrial plasticsConducting in-process inspections to ensure assemblies meet drawing specifications and quality standardsUsing precision measuring tools including micrometers, calipers, and verniersVerifying dimensions, surface finish, and completeness of assembliesHealth & Safety Responsibilities:Oversee daily Health & Safety operations, ensuring full compliance with all statutory and legal requirements.Collaborate with the Health & Safety team to manage and maintain the annual H&S planner, ensuring all scheduled activities are completed within agreed timelines and involving relevant departments as necessary.Take ownership of promoting and continuously enhancing the company's Health & Safety culture and performance.Required Skills:Previous experience in a quality inspection role within an engineering or manufacturing environmentStrong understanding of mechanical drawings and tolerancesProficiency with common inspection tools and equipment
