Solutions ArchitectLocation: Hybrid - London UKDo not wait to apply after reading this description a high application volume is expected for this opportunity.Join us at Merlin Entertainments as we transform the future of digital guest experiences across our iconic global attractions.We're seeking a talented and results-driven Solution Architect to design and implement scalable, resilient, and efficient microservices-based architectures to support the organisation's evolving technology landscape.About the RoleThis is a high-impact position within the Digital & Data division, responsible for designing secure, scalable, and high-performing microservices architectures that support Merlin's mission to transform the digital guest experience across its world-renowned attractions.You'll collaborate closely with development, DevOps, cloud, and infrastructure teams to create a robust architecture that aligns with business objectives and supports digital transformation.Responsibilities Design and develop scalable, resilient, and secure Digital solution architectures for enterprise systems that support cost-effective and valuable platforms.Define service boundaries, communication protocols, and service orchestration strategies.Maintain alignment with business goals, providing scalable requirements and future growth opportunities.Monitor and improve the performance, scalability, and reliability of Digital solutions architectures.Provide architectural guidance and mentorship across development team, building Digital solutions using best practices.Cross functional collaboration, involved in technical roadmaps and strategies that align with long-term business strategies and objectives. Over seeing technical decisions concerning architectural standards and frameworks.Stay head of emerging trends in microservices, cloud, and securitySkills and ExpertiseStrong technical background and expertise across architecture and relevant languages (e.g. Java, .NET, Python).Hands-on experience implementing and managing microservices architecture on cloud and on-premises environment, including API management.Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, ideally in a global or matrixed environment.Knowledge of Digital solutions design patterns, principles and best practices.Proficiency in cloud platforms, serverless architectures and microservice deployments.Strategic thinker and ability to shape long-term visions that align with business goals.Results-focused mindset with a strong focus on performance, security and scalability.Interview ProcessRecruiter CallHiring Manager Intro1-2 stage Panel InterviewOur recruitment process typically takes around 4-5weeks, but were always happy to work around your availability.
