TEXO Drone Survey and Inspection Ltd (DSI), a leading provider of integrated drone-based survey and inspection services, is seeking an experienced Remote Pilot to join our team in Glasgow / Edinburgh & Witham.Hit Apply below to send your application for consideration Ensure that your CV is up to date, and that you have read the job specs first.Our innovative technologies and services are at the forefront of the industrial surveying industry, delivering solutions across multiple sectors including construction, oil and gas, and renewables.Area(s) of Responsibility:Undertake role of Remote Pilot-in-Command of unmanned aerial vehicles whist on operational deploymentFollow specific data capturing techniques to obtain the optimum data.Preparation and recording of pre-flight planning and risk assessments.Preparation and recording of post flight reporting.Preparation of reports to the Technical Manager following risk events or incidents.Processing of collected imagery and survey data in various software packagesTroubleshoot equipment issues.Carry out operational management of on-site personnel, payload operators and observers.Maintain own pilot logs and currency in accordance with company policy requirements.Adhere to all policies and procedures for the operation of unmanned aerial vehicles and associated equipment to ensure safe and compliant operations.Update, input and promote Texo DSI SMS (Safety Management System), Centrik.Client liaison when operating on-site.Ensure that the flight safety of the aircraft is always maintained, and data acquisition is always captured at the highest standard.To become a Remote Pilot with TEXO DSI, you will need;CAA-approved UAS qualification or equivalent.Minimum of 4 years experience remote piloting drones commercially, preferably in industrial or construction environments with experience in inspection and geospatial survey data capture such as photogrammetry.Strong understanding of drone hardware and software technologies.Background in survey data processing is preferrable with; Reality Capture / Agisoft / CADExcellent communication and teamwork skills.Ability to travel as needed for fieldwork across the UKStrong interest and enthusiasm for UAS Technologies.The ability to think outside the box.High level of concentration with a logical mindset.The ability to manage pressure and prioritise.RelationshipsOther work colleagues.General Public while out on operations.Client Facing during shows, demos, and site operations.Quality, Safety, Health & EnvironmentAll employees have a responsibility for ensuring their own health and safety and that of their colleagues.Co-operate with Company requirements to ensure that statutory duties are met.Do not interfere with or misuse anything supplied for health and safety.Only use equipment and substances where trained to correctly do so.Identify and take any obvious corrective actions to resolve non-conformances and prevent loss in your immediate area, reporting any hazards to HSEQ Team/Line ManagerPromote the implementation and continuous improvement of the Quality Aspects of the management system.Support the Companys environmental stance by following all environmental procedures and policies and assist with the reduction of waste, energy usage and emissions.Business Development:To promote TEXO where possibleTo look and pass on opportunities, cross sell other divisions of the TEXO where applicable and pass any opportunities to Business Development Team.We expect you to maintain our Core Values:Professional: We do the job and do it wellPrincipled: We say what we do and do what we sayCollaborative: There is no hierarchy here, just one teamCareful: The safety of our people and protection of the environment are paramountCredible: Our reputation is everythingIf you are interested in this fantastic opportunity, please call David Watson at TEXO Recruitment on 01670 331 846 / 07436 034 260 on david.watson@texorecruitment.co.ukRemote working/work at home options are available for this role.
