Taught programmes, ranging from Foundation Year through to Level 7, delivered in partnership with institutions such as Leeds Trinity University. We have high expectations of ourselves, our students and our partners.Reports to: Associate Dean/ Head of DepartmentPurpose:As a result of a recent success and growth we are looking to appoint lecturers in health and social care faculty within the Leicester campus. Successful candidates will work with our staff to ensure an excellent student experience through the use of relevant and inspiring learning, teaching and assessment methods.Ideally you will combine industry and teaching experience at undergraduate, postgraduate and/or professional level.ResponsibilitiesAll aspects of planning, delivering, and assessing student work, ensuring that all learning outcomes are met.Develop, update and improve course materials as appropriate.Teaching and learning including marking, assessment, and feedbackSupport colleagues to deliver organisational and statutory requirementsWork internally and externally to support partner organisations and activitiesModule leadership and associated activitiesThe individual will work across differing levels according to organisational needs.RequirementsEssentialMasters degree in Health & Social Care or related fieldUK Teaching Experience (Minimum one-year experience)PGCert / Fellowship in FHCA Status (Highly Desirable)Enthusiasm for delivering a high-quality education experienceA record of leading a successful programme development thought leadership in educational pedagogy.Experience supervising student work and providing support and feedback.Experience of marking, assessment and feedbackExperience of working with professional services to enhance student learningPrevious experience of course leadership, module leadership desirableExperience of using different technologies to deliver teaching and learningOrganisational and leadership skills and knowledgeSalary and BenefitsCompetitive per year (depending on qualifications and experience)Basic hours are 9am to 6pmon siteTrips away from the office are often requiredHoliday entitlement is 28 days annual leave plus bank holidaysUp to 5k annual incentives pro-rata given quarterly on meeting KPIs upon successful probation period3% annual increase per year on completion from your start date of service and on meeting KPIsJob TypesFull-time, Permanent
