Lead Control Automation System Engineer UK Salary: Excellent + Bonus Please make sure you read the following details carefully before making any applications.We are supporting our client to secure a Lead Control Automation Systems Engineer to join their rapidly growing team. As Lead Control Engineer youll play a pivotal role in shaping the design, implementation and development of cutting-edge digital control systems for the HDVC control and Protection system.The Company:A globally recognised leader in the renewable energy sector, dedicated to transforming how we generate and utilise renewable energy. Their state-of- the- art technologies and innovative solutions have positioned them as a key player in the industry. Due to significant growth in the UK this has created the need to appoint a Lead Control Automation system Engineer to help strengthen their rapidly growing engineering team.Key Responsibilities:Responsible for leading overall requirement, design, implementation, and testing of digital control system of the HVDC Control & Protection system this includes network & Cybersecurity designLead the configuration of IEC61850 IEDs via vendor specific tools and System Configuration Tools for complete system integration.Lead the generation of Substation Configuration description Language (SCL) files for system integration.Knowledge of Sequencing & interlocking principles used in substation automation systems and their implementation on IEC61850 IEDs.Lead the design, configuration and testing required to deliver on time and within defined budgets the HVDC Control System hardware.Qualifications:Degree in Electronics/Electrical engineering or related field.Strong background in configuring Substation Bay Controllers/Merging Units/ IEC61850 IEDs/HMI/SCADA technologies.Knowledge of industrial communication networks such as IEC61850 and Ethernet based protocols.Control & Protection Relay logics Design techniquesExperienced in developing electrical designs for industrial control systemsKnowledge of communication networks Security/Hardening and Cybersecurity best practicesExcellent knowledge of commonly used Layer2&3 protocols such as Ipv4,OSPF,LACP,DMZ,VPN/ DMS/ADMS/ DNP, IEC, ModbusExperience relevant to electrical power systems and Substation automation engineeringWorking knowledge of industrial and utility electrical control and protection systems and Digital Control Systems, Substation Automation and SCADAIf you are looking for a broad and challenging role with prospects to match, make your application without delay.
