We’re working with a large pan-European manufacturing business, which operates 7 days a week, that is actively seeking to add an experienced Multiskilled Maintenance Electrician to join its site Manufacturing Engineering Support teams. Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrically bias) 40 hours per week - Monday to Friday based on Double Day shift – 6am-2pm/2pm-10pm Participation in weekend On Call Rota (approx 1 in 5). Location: nr Chippenham, Wiltshire Salary: Circa £40,000 plus £4k on call allowance The position's responsibilities are: * Reactive Maintenance on automated production machinery * Pre-planned Maintenance (PPM) - Input to and carry out preventive maintenance routines * Mechanical fault finding * Electrical fault finding with and without diagrams (three phase and control systems) * Small installation projects * Continuous Improvement to maintain optimal machine efficiency * To keep clean any areas in which you are working, including transit areas to and from the workshop, the workshop and stores * Support the Operations team in achieving targets * Complying to the company’s Health and Safety policies and procedures * Contributing to cost effective technical solutions * Deliver to the operational expectations * Be part of a weekend call-out rota To be successful, we would like you to have: * A recognised industrial Electrical qualification 18th Edition and Level 3 Electrical Engineering qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent) * Have experience working as a Shift Electrician or as a dedicated Electrical Engineer in a Manufacturing environment. * Experience in the print, packaging or associated industries would be great but is not essential. But experience in a manufacturing or industrial automation environment is critical. * Strong electrical fault-finding skill in particular on PLC’s, drives and inverters * Excellent fault finding and diagnostic skills * Ability to read and interpret engineering diagrams * Experience with maintenance PPM and RM programmes. * Ideally experience working a buddy system with a Mechanical Engineer. * Have good communication, organisational and team work skills. * Self motivation, ability to apply initiative and determination. Specific training where required will be provided, OEM suppliers and via remote modem diagnostic support from the OEM.
