Join to apply for thePayroll Associaterole atPrimarkAbout the role We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our Republic of Ireland payroll team based in Reading. This role involves supporting the operational delivery of payrolls, working to tight deadlines, and being a strong team player. It's an excellent opportunity for someone looking to advance their career with their proven experience.ResponsibilitiesPreparation and checking of high-volume payrolls to ensure accurate and timely employee payments.Adherence to deadlines and payroll checking procedures.Processing information received from People and Culture teams and providing excellent service.Applying HMRC/Revenue legislation and Primark rules on payments.Managing new starters and leavers, including processing starter declarations.Handling correspondence from stores, HMRC/Revenue, and third parties.Processing attachment of earnings orders and calculating holiday pay entitlement.Administering pension deductions and handling related queries.Performing administrative tasks such as filing and report production using MS Excel.Learning new payroll tasks and supporting additional responsibilities over time.Qualifications and SkillsPositive attitude with a proactive approach.At least 5 GCSEs at grade C or above (or equivalent).Accuracy, flexibility, and ability to work in a busy environment.Good organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining accuracy.What we offer We prioritize our people by providing a supportive environment, competitive benefits including pension, 27 days of leave plus bank holidays, with options to buy additional days.
