This is an exciting opportunity to join us at Meliora Medical Group.Find out more about the daily tasks, overall responsibilities, and required experience for this opportunity by scrolling down now.The leading medical services provider for the education sector, our range of medical services are used by over 150 of the UKs leading schools & clubs and we are growing rapidly each year.Job Title : School Physiotherapist Location : St Benedicts School, London Position Type : Full-Time or Part-Time options available Salary : Competitive, based on experience Desired start date : September 2025 About Us: We are the UKs leading provider of sports medicine services in the education sector.We deliver high-quality, athlete-focused care to young people, ensuring injury management and rehabilitation are handled with clinical excellence and compassion.We are excited to offer an opportunity for a committed and skilled Physiotherapist to join our team at St Benedicts School in Ealing.This role is term-time only, making it an excellent opportunity for clinicians seeking work-life balance, while remaining in a rewarding, fast-paced clinical environment.Role Overview: As the on-site Physiotherapist at St Benedicts, you will be the initial point of clinical contact for pupils presenting with musculoskeletal or sports-related issues.Working independently within the schools medical and sports framework, you will assess, triage, treat, and manage injuries from first presentation through to full return to activity.You will collaborate with school nurses, coaches, and Return2Plays wider medical team, and play a key role in ensuring pupils are supported throughout their recovery journey.Key Responsibilities: Be responsible for leading the on-site clinic, ensuring its clinical excellence, operational success, and integration into the wider school community Act as a School Physiotherapist, assessing and managing new MSK and sports injury cases without the need for GP referral.Provide accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation to pupils on-site.Communicate effectively with school staff, coaches, and parents to ensure a coordinated approach to pupil care.Refer to external healthcare professionals where appropriate.Maintain accurate clinical records and adhere to Return2Plays documentation standards.Support the development of injury prevention and performance strategies alongside the schools sports department.Manage your own diary to ensure efficient access for pupils during the school week.Provide guidance to pupils and staff on safe return-to-play protocols and best practice.Essential Requirements: HCPC-registered Chartered Physiotherapist with CSP membership.Proven experience working with adolescent athletes in a clinical, sporting, or school environment.Experience working with adolescent athletes and a clear understanding of their unique needs.Strong MSK and/or sports physiotherapy background.Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence working in a multidisciplinary setting.Ability to manage a varied caseload independently, while maintaining collaborative communication with team members.Desirable Attributes: Experience in a boarding school or elite youth sports setting.Familiarity with strength and conditioning programs and return-to-play protocols.Confident in presenting or contributing to injury prevention and health education sessions.What We Offer: Term-time only working (ideal for work-life balance or school-year-based schedules).Support and clinical governance through Return2Play and the Meliora Medical Group.CPD opportunities and access to a peer network of school-based physiotherapists and sports doctors.A collaborative, dynamic working environment within a leading London day school.A fulfilling and rewarding role at the forefront of school-based physiotherapy and sports medicine.What are the next steps?
