The role will require the successful candidate work in a team on all aspects of a project lifecycle for the delivery of PLC and SCADA/DCS systems primarily in the renewable power generation and storage industry. Projects include upgrades of systems to latest versions, modification of systems for extensions and improvements as well as new build projects. The candidate should have proven main-stream control automation experience across several previous projects utilising the technology platforms listed below.Essential Requirements:Minimum 2 years experience using at least one of the following technologies:-Siemens PCS7 Automation StationsSiemens TIA Portal for S7 PLCsRockwell ControlLogix/CompactLogix utilising Studio 5000Schneider M580/M340 utilising EcoStruxure Control ExpertMinimum 2 years experience /Advanced SCADA Configuration skills using at least one of the following applications: -Siemens PCS7 OSCOPA-DATA ZenonSiemens WinCC Rockwell FactoryTalk View SECodra PanoramaExperience of producing Function Design Specifications, System/Detailed Design Specifications and Test SpecificationsExperience of writing software to IEC61131 utilising ladder, function block diagram, sequential function chart and structured text. Experience of performing Internal and Customer Factory Acceptance TestsKnowledge of project lifecycle working to QA proceduresWillingness to travel and work away when requiredFull UK Driving licenceDesirable Requirements/experience: Experience of communication protocols including:-Profibus/Profinet, Modbus TCP/RTU, IEC 60870-5-104, IEC 61850, DNP3 etcExperience of virtualisation utilising VMWare or HyperVExperience Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 and Domain ConfigurationExperience of Network Switch and Firewall ConfigurationExperience of simulation software e.g. SIMIT/ PICS/WinMODExperience of renewable power generation control systemsExperience of site work/commissioning automation control systemsExperience of Legacy PLCs/software e.g. Rockwell RSLogix5, 500 or 5000, Schneider Unity Pro/Concept, Siemens Step 7.
