Interim Company Secretary Start date ASAPAll candidates should make sure to read the following job description and information carefully before applying.- candidates who are immediately available will be prioritised Interim assignment outside IR35, day rate plus expenses.End date: Suggested end August 2025 Location: UK and Europe Onsite/Hybrid: The culture of the business will require a large amount of face to face interaction, especially at the programme office site in Yorkshire Reporting to: Chief Operating Officer & Chief Financial Officer Client Our client is a fast growing private equity backed professional services firm.The business has experienced impressive growth over the last 5 years and is now embarking on a transformation programme that will support the business to achieve further growth supported by common systems and processes.The assignment The firm seeks an Interim Company Secretary to map and document processes and procedures relevant to the Company Secretary function.This role is critical to strengthening governance and operational clarity, aligning with the firms strategic goals to enhance efficiency and integration.The successful candidate will deliver a comprehensive framework of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and governance documentation to support the firms long-term objectives.The firm has a complicated entity structure with offices overseas and entities that have been previously acquired.This role will require face to face time within the business operational team and with the business leaders who are mostly long term employees.This is a hands-on role bringing project structure and rigour to a board of Directors who are passionate about delivering this change.Assignment objectives.Build a relationship with the operating board directors.Create the methodology and project plan with board sign off.Systematically deliver the project in line with the plan.Manage stakeholder engagement through regular updates The person A company secretary with experience of professionalising the company secretary function to a level that would pass due diligence.This is a hands-on role so applicants must be comfortable with creating the project plan, reporting tools, governance process and roadmaps for themselves.Prior experience of delivering a similar project in a professional services firm would be an advantage however not essential.What is essential is the candidate's proven ability to communicate change effectively with equity partners and operational staff alike.The role is Europe wide however it is envisaged that most of the time the candidate will be based in the UK.The programme office is currently located in North Yorkshire.
