We design complex, high-profile mechanical products with close tolerance requirements, especially in the aerospace industry.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate CNC lathesWork with various materialsSet up and operate machine toolsPerform first-off inspection and document quality checksMaintain proven experience in a machine shop environmentUse precision measurement equipment confidentlyKey ExpertiseIndustrious apprenticeship, craft, or technical qualification preferredMinimum of 3 years operating star sliding head machinesExperience in engineering/manufacturing, ideally aerospaceKnowledge of machining techniques and toolsAttention to detail and process improvement skillsProficiency with inspection techniques and equipment to meet drawing tolerancesAdditional Requirements This role requires night shift work and potential overtime. Candidates must be self-certified and obtain a quality stamp after the qualifying period.Security Clearance Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained.
