Lead a team of fire safety advisors within the Estates and Facilities Division to ensure compliance with legislation, regulations, and policies, including the Trust's fire safety policies. Design, develop, and deliver fire safety training to diverse audiences to meet KPIs. Provide fire safety advice for capital projects, including planning, design, construction, and commissioning. Interpret and implement Fire Safety Policies and manage fire precautions across Trust premises. Conduct fire safety surveys, risk assessments, and report on fire safety standards in all Trust premises, participating in multidisciplinary fire risk assessments as needed. Liaise with internal and external bodies such as planning teams, contractors, and Fire Authorities to specify fire precautions in new and existing premises. Develop and deliver fire safety training programs for Trust staff and contracted organizations, including fire drills and staff training. Monitor maintenance of firefighting equipment, fire alarm systems, and ensure records are maintained accurately. Line manage fire safety staff, overseeing attendance, appraisals, CPD, and capability development. Develop and maintain fire safety policies and contribute to annual Fire Safety reports for the Trust Board.
