This is an exciting opportunity for you to be responsible for the expansion and management of our portfolio in East Sussex and Kent. You will be involved in the full asset lifecycle, from initial site identification, negotiation, and land/site acquisition, to leading a professional team through planning, construction, and ongoing asset management. Developing relationships with landlords, tenants, local authorities, agents, and developers is key. The role involves ownership of the development and planning processes from concept to completion, requiring excellent communication and negotiation skills, multi-tasking, and meeting tight deadlines. Note: You will be expected to work at our Gravesend (Northfleet) Property Office or in your designated area at least 3 days a week. What you'll do Identify, negotiate, and acquire freehold and leasehold deals to expand our store network. Conduct site inspections, development appraisals, and manage legal and planning due diligence. Manage the planning application lifecycle from submission to approval. Lead expansion, relocation, and infrastructure projects. Build strong relationships with local authorities, landlords, tenants, and developers. Drive the full development and planning process from concept to completion. Manage real estate assets of freehold and leasehold properties. What you'll need Self-motivated with a proactive attitude. Degree-level education (minimum 2:2), ideally in a relevant field. Experience in retail acquisitions, land buying, commercial property, or town planning. MRICS qualification is preferred. Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills. Analytical mindset and ability to handle multiple deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Full driving license and willingness to travel across the UK.
