Job Vacancy: Interim Commercial Lawyer (Railway Industry) Location: London Duration: Interim (3-6 months) Salary: Competitive, based on experience We are currently seeking an experienced Interim Commercial Lawyer with a strong background in the railway or Buses industry to support our clients legal team.Apply promptly! A high volume of applicants is expected for the role as detailed below, do not wait to send your CV.This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified lawyer to work on a variety of complex and high-profile projects within the public procurement, government contracts, and bidding sectors.Key Responsibilities: Provide legal support on public procurement and government contracts within the railway sector.Advise on and assist with bidding processes, including internal bids and submissions for railway projects.Work on the legal aspects of railway extension projects, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts related to government and public sector projects including Joint ventures and Corporate M&A.Support the legal team in managing risk, ensuring effective contract governance, and maintaining compliance with procurement guidelines.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, commercial, and project management, to deliver legal advice that aligns with business objectives.Key Requirements: 10 years' PQE (post-qualification experience) in commercial law, with a focus on public procurement, government contracts, and bidding processes.Experience in the Transportation- railway sector, including involvement in railway extension projects and knowledge of related legal frameworks.Strong drafting and negotiation skills, with a practical understanding of public sector procurement rules.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.A proactive approach to problem-solving and risk management.Why Join Us?
