Legal and Compliance Associate London (Hybrid) PermanentThe following information aims to provide potential candidates with a better understanding of the requirements for this role.- Insurance Sector 1-2 Years PQE (in a law firm or in-house) We are partnered with a global consultancy that supports the insurance sectors and London market.They are seeking a Legal and Compliance associate with a couple of years PQE to support across a range of business critical responsibilities: Contracts: Review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements including Master Services Agreements, Statements of Work (SoWs), Vendor Contracts, NDAs, MoUs, Letters of Intent, Terms of Engagement, Consultant Agreements, and various internal company documents.Ensure legal risks are identified and mitigated while balancing business needs and objectives.Negotiate within defined contracting standards, while facilitating deal-specific exceptions and customizations.Collaborate proactively with business teams to find creative solutions to legal and commercial challenges.Provide general legal advisory support and handle legal-related queries as required.Compliance: Support the team in ensuring compliance with internal policies and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.Stay updated on regulatory developments and best practices across jurisdictions.Assist in the development and implementation of compliance programs and monitoring frameworks.Monitor key business processes and identify areas of potential non-compliance or risk exposure.Assist in preparing for audits and support internal investigations as needed.Educate employees on compliance matters and support awareness initiatives.Projects: Take full ownership of assigned projects and deliverables.Support special projects as needed, aligned with strategic business growth while maintaining acceptable risk thresholds.Continuously enhance processes to reduce friction points and improve alignment between legal, compliance, and business teams.Training & Awareness: Assist in conducting training and awareness sessions on upcoming legal and compliance topics.Identify gaps and contribute towards building a robust compliance culture within the organization.If you are a newly qualified Lawyer or Solicitors with a couple of years practical experience in the above areas then we want to hear from you.Please apply below to hear more.
