With over 500,000 customers traveling weekly at speeds of up to 125mph, our Train Managers play a vital role in delivering a world-class customer experience while ensuring safety onboard. In this role, you will collaborate with the On Board team to manage the customer environment. You should be a proactive individual with enthusiasm, responsible for ticket checking and sales, and maintaining safety onboard your train. Key responsibilities include: Maintaining a safe environment for all onboard. Championing customer service and maintaining visibility throughout the train. Representing Avanti West Coast professionally while on duty. Providing friendly journey information and positive sales messages to customers. Welcoming customers onboard, paying special attention to those with special needs, elderly customers, children, and customers with heavy luggage. If successful, you will be placed in a Talent Bank for up to 24 months and offered a role when opportunities arise. This is a safety-critical position. You must meet the required standards for safety-critical psychometric testing and pass a safety-critical medical, including drug and alcohol screening, after a job offer is made. You must reside within a 60-minute drive of the depot. Salary: £52,699 per annum (based on a 35-hour week during training and 41-hour week once fully trained).
