Whatever the tile material, background or function of the tiled environment, a BAL solution can be trusted for quality and lasting performance.We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys problem-solving within a dynamic supply chain.This will be a full-time position (5 days a week) supporting our UK Procurement and Contracts Manager.Key Responsibilities:Work closely with internal teams, including production and logistics, to align procurement with business needs.Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain performance.Analyse data to identify supply chain risks and develop solutions to improve efficiency.Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and support the UK Procurement and Contracts Manager during contract negotiations.Manage supplier non-conformance process working with internal teams and suppliers to log, track and resolve complaints whilst ensuring corrective action effectiveness.Compile supplier cost impact reports.Maintain supplier system price records.Support supplier invoice query resolution.Maintain accurate records and databases.Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.Assist in supplier selection and onboarding processes.Support sustainability improvement initiatives and maintain roadmaps, databases, and reports for internal and external stakeholdersAssist with reporting frameworks such as EPR and ISO 14064:2018 and help maintain our integrated management system with a focus on CO2 emissions reportingEngage with UK sites to ensure alignment with targets and objectives, advise on improvement opportunities, and assist with ESG policy developmentWhat We’re Looking For:Strong numeracy skills with the ability to interpret and analyse data.Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-moving environment.Proficiency in IT systems, with strong Excel skillsA proactive, problem-solving approach with a focus on delivering practical solutions.Effective communication skills to engage with internal teams and external suppliers.Experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred) with exposure to global supply chains.Experience with current ERP legislation and reporting an advantage.Knowledge of sustainability metrics and methodologies, such as carbon foot printing and life cycle assessment.Qualifications & Experience:Minimum: Degree or equivalent qualification.Previous experience in a procurement, supply chain, or purchasing role is desirable but not essentialIf you are looking for a challenging and rewarding role in procurement, we’d love to hear from you.
