Mechanical Technician ~ A leading provider of advanced defence and security solutions are seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician. Key Accountabilities Mechanical Technician Prototype and production assembly of machines to Engineering drawings and procedures. Liaise with production control when kits are incomplete. Modifications to existing parts using hand tools and basic machine tools such as drills, lathes and mills. Manufacture of simple brackets, mounting plates and simple tooling. Checking that all work meets quality and technical standards. Assist in maintaining the office and workshop in a clean and orderly state and ensure good project housekeeping/6S standards. Provide technical assistance to mechanical fitters where required. Skills and knowledge required Mechanical Technician Be computer literate with good working knowledge of MS office. Have experience of working in a Workshop environment.
