Nutritional Assessment and Planning: Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for patients with eating disorders. Develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans based on patients' medical, psychological, and social needs. Monitor and adjust nutritional plans as necessary, ensuring they are effective and aligned with recovery goals. Provide education on balanced eating habits and nutritional rehabilitation.2. Multidisciplinary Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, GPs, nurses, and therapists, to provide integrated care. Participate in regular case review meetings and contribute to the development and adjustment of treatment plans. Foster a collaborative environment, promoting effective communication and teamwork.3. Patient and Family Engagement: Engage with patients and their families, providing clear and compassionate communication regarding nutritional care plans and progress. Offer nutritional counselling and support to patients and families, addressing concerns and promoting understanding of the role of nutrition in eating disorder recovery. Advocate for patient-centred care, ensuring that patients' rights and dignity are respected.4. Clinical Governance and Quality Improvement: Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and standards, including those set by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Contribute to clinical governance processes, ensuring the delivery of high-quality and safe nutritional care. Participate in audits, quality improvement initiatives, and the development of clinical policies and procedures.5. Education and Training: Provide education and training to staff on nutritional aspects of eating disorders. Mentor junior dietitians and support their professional development. Participate in educational sessions for patients and families on the importance of nutrition in managing eating disorders.6. Research and Development: Stay updated with the latest research and advancements in the field of nutrition and eating disorders. Promote and participate in research activities, contributing to the advancement of knowledge and treatment practices. Integrate new research findings into clinical practice to enhance patient care.Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree in Dietetics or Nutrition, with registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Dietitian. Experience in the nutritional care and treatment of individuals with eating disorders. Strong clinical and assessment skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Commitment to patient-centred care and continuous quality improvement.Desirable: Additional qualifications or training in eating disorder treatment or related nutritional fields. Experience in a similar role within a day treatment or inpatient setting.
