About the Company : We are working with a market-leading fit out and refurbishment contractor offering an exciting opportunity on a CAT A & B 30m fitout project. The company has been around for over 70 years and has a turn over of circa 200m. About the Role : The company is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team. The successful candidate will be assisting the commercial team working on the project from pre-construction to handover. Responsibilities : Assist managing the procurement and sub-contractors Where applicable, assist the Senior Quantity Surveyor in tackling key, commercial, progress or contractual issues with either the Client or Suppliers Play a role in reconciling cost/value reports and profit forecasts Work as part of the Commercial Team in securing maximum sustainable value from contracts, and in settling subcontracts at a fair level reflective of the subcontractors price and performance
