JOB – Technical Sales Engineer LOCATION – Southampton TERM- PermanentSALARY - £35,000-£45,000 per annum, dependent on experience My client designs and manufactures specialist solutions for Engineering. They are looking for a Technical Sales Engineer who has experience with Leak Detection to join their team in the Southampton area on a permanent basis. The Sales Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:Experience in / knowledge of Leak DetectionIdeally be experienced in Technical Sales, with knowledge of quotations, technical specifications and ordersStrong understanding of Engineering Projects Ideally have knowledge of pipes, valves, pumps, etc. HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ / Degree qualified in Engineering or similarBe keen to develop as part of an organisation long termGood time management skillsBe self-motivated and drivenProficient with using Microsoft Office – any CRM database knowledge would be a plusExcellent communication skills are requiredBe able to work well individually as well as part of a teamThe Sales Engineer role will involve:Working directly with customers to understand their requirements and produce quotations and ordersUnderstanding the technical side of how their products are designed and built Being involved in processing and progressing salesReacting to inquiries Investigating and resolving sales enquiries from both customers and distributorsOffering a proactive Account Management approach for Distributors and updating customers at regular stagesLiaising with different departments and colleagues as required Having the opportunity to grow with the company long termIf you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible.
