As a Pharmacy Technician, you will support our pharmacy teams in delivering operational and service excellence, assisting with prescription fulfillment, and providing caring service that exceeds patient expectations. You will operate within Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), demonstrate genuine care, and contribute to a safe, inclusive culture. Once in role, you will complete rigorous training and meet all licensing and certification requirements per your State’s Board of Pharmacy. Until then, duties may be limited by the Pharmacy Manager. Key ResponsibilitiesFollow all SOPs at each workstation to assist pharmacists in managing patient health. Ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment following pharmacy workflow procedures. Contribute to positive patient experiences through empathetic and personalized service. Perform basic inventory activities as directed, such as managing medication deliveries and cycle counts. Support team performance, seek knowledge expansion, and embrace feedback. Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs, including traveling between stores as needed. Comply with all relevant laws, regulations, and CVS policies to ensure safety, privacy, and compliance. Support additional healthcare services like immunizations, after obtaining necessary licensure and training. QualificationsMeet state board requirements for age, education, and licensure/certification. If not mandated, be at least 16 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent. State and national certification requirements vary by state. Essential FunctionsMaintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends. Complete required training within specified timeframes. Demonstrate attention, focus, customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills. Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 20 lbs, standing for long periods, and visual inspections. Preferred Qualifications1-3 years of pharmacy technician experience. Experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service settings. Additional DetailsFull-time, 40 hours/week.
