Communications Assistant29 hours per week Three Years Fixed Term £22,501- £23,517 per annum Magdalene College is seeking a Communications Assistant to join its Communications team. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic communicator with a strong interest in video production and digital content creation. Reporting to the Communications Manager, the Communications Assistant will play a central role in creating and delivering content that promotes College life, academic research, and student experience. The postholder will be responsible for delivering short-form video content for social media and digital publications, from concept and planning through to filming, editing, and publishing. The role also involves broader content creation, digital campaigns, internal communications, website maintenance, and support for College-wide communications initiatives. Collaboration with students, academics, senior staff, and College societies is key, as is the ability to manage a varied workload with creativity and precision. Candidates should be educated to degree level or equivalent, with experience in social media content creation and be proficient in graphic design tools, as well as proficiency in Adobe Premiere for video editing. Candidates should be creative and well organised with strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy. You should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build and maintain successful relationships with a variety of audiences.
