Benefits: Competitive salary Flexible schedule Summary - PRN Opportunity in Danbury, CT MarketResponsible for the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients through collaboration with a designated physician. Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesAssess and treat patients with common acute conditions, illnesses, or minor trauma in collaboration with a physician. Collaborate with the physician in the healthcare of patients with chronic illnesses. Diagnose and treat acute, chronic, and long-term healthcare issues. Educate patients and families about preventive care, positive behaviors, medical issues, and medication use. Maintain accurate, confidential medical records. Document evaluations, diagnoses, procedures, treatments, outcomes, education, and referrals. Serve as Medical Examiner and perform DOT physicals. Order diagnostic tests as needed. Prescribe medications within scope of license. Review records with physicians and peers for quality assurance. Promote preventive and health maintenance care through education and counseling. Update knowledge from professional development activities and apply it clinically. Attend regularly to ensure efficient operations. Other Duties And ResponsibilitiesAssist in patient flow and triage as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. QualificationsAbility to learn and use Electronic Medical Records. Willingness to work weekends and holidays as required. Dedicated to quality patient care and customer satisfaction. Excellent communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team and with multiple physicians. Positive attitude with a 'Patients First' approach. Experience in primary/urgent care or internal medicine is preferred. Education and ExperienceCurrent licensure as a Family Nurse Practitioner (ANCC or AANP) or Physician Assistant (PANCE).
