The Christie Hospital is seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as a senior MRI Radiographer. Join us and be part of an extraordinary team that is transforming the landscape of cancer treatment.As a senior MRI Radiographer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the delivery of our MR service. You will work alongside the MRI Lead and deputies to support a team of talented radiographers, ensuring the provision of high-quality care across 4 scanners. Your expertise will contribute directly to the development of tailored treatment plans for patients, helping to optimise their outcomes and overall experience.You will be supported to access professional development and post graduate educational opportunities offering routes into advanced clinical practice or senior management.MAIN DUTIESWork alongside the MR leadership team in the day-to-day running of the department, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation and compassion. Provide guidance to a team of radiographers and radiographic aides, promoting their professional growth and development. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support accurate and timely diagnosis and treatment planning. Drive the implementation of new technologies and techniques, staying at the forefront of advancements in MR radiography. Participate in departmental audits, research projects and quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery.RequirementsDegree in Diagnostic Radiography Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). PgCert in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (desirable) Strong background in MR imaging Proven leadership abilities with the capacity to inspire and motivate a diverse team. Excellent communication skills, fostering effective collaboration across departments. Strong problem-solving skills, capable of making critical decisions in a fast paced environment. Commitment to continuous professional development and staying up to date with industry advancements.The Christie is one of Europe’s leading cancer centres, treating over 60,000 patients a year.
