Fresh People are recruiting for a Technical Assistant on behalf of our client, a market leader in the sourcing, production, and distribution of fresh produce.Be one of the first applicants, read the complete overview of the role below, then send your application for consideration.This is a brilliant opportunity for someone from a quality assurance or product management background in fresh produce looking to step into a more technical role.This position offers a blend of hands-on product sampling and supermarket benchmarking, alongside data analysis, technical reporting, and cross-functional collaboration.If you're confident with product quality and equally comfortable working with Excel, dashboards, and technical systems, wed love to hear from you.Key Responsibilities: Support the Group Technical Director with product safety, quality, and compliance.Sample fresh produce and conduct internal and external benchmarking across all categories.Coordinate product trials, packaging assessments, and category transformations.Liaise with supermarkets and internal stakeholders to report on product performance.Compile and manage KPI reporting across quality, shelf life, wastage, and customer complaints.Maintain and update customer technical libraries and specifications.Assist in supplier reviews, quality culture initiatives, and internal communications.Provide support for packaging development, presentations, and courier coordination.Work with cross-functional teams (Commercial, Compliance, Service Provider) to manage technical data and improvements.Help maintain resilience planning, policy changes, and support BRCGS/customer standard implementation.About You: Experience in fresh produce, ideally in quality assurance, product, or supply chain functions.Confident benchmarking products in supermarket environments and evaluating quality.Excellent Excel skills; able to handle data sets, databases, KPI dashboards, and presentations.Understanding of HACCP principles, BRCGS standards, and audit expectations (training provided).Great communication skills able to support both internal teams and customer-facing activity.Familiarity with ERP systems such as Prophet (preferred but not essential ) If you have the experience to succeed in this role then reach out today we look forward to hearing from you ADZN1_UKTJ
