The role will focus on commercial management of existing projects and supporting the growth team with new opportunities.Day-to-day, youll provide commercial analysis of business, opportunities and contracts, amongst general financial analysis of bids and contracts, risk analysis, analysis of terms, agreements and contracts and lead on complex negotiations relating to these commercial areas. You will also:Develop existing commercial relationships with clients into long-term partnering relationships and build new relationshipsIdentify business, corporate risks and contract risks and develop mitigation plans with operational teamsLead major complex negotiations in partnering ways which deliver client and internal expectationsDraft, negotiate and implement agreements and contractsProvide advice at the right time to avoid disputes and help operational teams to continually improve and grow contracts for the benefit of client and BabcockThis role is full time, 36 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with the option for remote work alongside occasional site visits.Essential experience of the Commercial SpecialistDemonstrable Contract Negotiation and ManagementDemonstrable experience of partnering and building commercial relationships with clientsDemonstrable experience of developing risk mitigation plansAbility to lead on complex negotiationsFinancially astute and demonstrable experience with regards to impact of decisions and the effect on profitabilityQualifications for the Commercial SpecialistDegree or equivalent in Law, Quantity Surveying or Business.Security ClearanceThe successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
