We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, skilled, approachable, and motivated consultant to join the NLFT CAMHS division to help manage the care of young people requiring assessment and treatment within Barnet West CAMHS area, based at Edgware Community Hospital. This is an excellent opportunity for a consultant to work within a well-functioning and closely-knit multidisciplinary team of committed professionals. This is an existing consultant post, vacant as the current post holder is taking on additional management responsibilities and helping to set up the single point of access with the CAMHS division. The appointed person will be encouraged to develop their own interests and pursue research collaborations with the child and adolescent research unit at University College London CAMHS research unit, led by Professor Argyris Stringaris. They will be encouraged to participate in QI projects across services and contribute to teaching medical students and psychiatry trainees. The trust is embarking on a transformation of CAMHS services using the THRIVE principles, and the candidate will be encouraged to contribute to these changes to deliver effective and compassionate services. All new consultants will receive mentoring from experienced colleagues to aid development as medical leaders and will be invited to join the local Consultant CPD/Peer support group.
