The role involves supervising small teams, ensuring compliance with industry and internal standards, supporting project mobilisation and demobilisation, and contributing to the development of safe and efficient inspection procedures. Candidates should be confident acting as a point of contact on site, representing the company in daily planning and debrief meetings, and managing inspection deliverables using asset tracking and compliance software.The position is primarily offshore-based, with the potential for shore-based duties involving daily offshore transit.Key Responsibilities:General OperationsEnsure inspection teams are adequately prepared and equipped for offshore operationsManage tooling, equipment, and consumables such as oils, greases, and tagging itemsAudit PPE and team presentation standardsMentor junior technicians and provide ongoing supportComplete daily reports, checklists, and inspection documentationEnforce compliance with internal safe systems of workInspection DutiesConduct statutory inspections in accordance with LOLER, PUWER, and other applicable legislationInspect and test:Fire extinguishersTMSEPFPE and loose lifting equipmentHydraulic systems, including PRVs and accumulatorsNacelle cranes (e.g. hoists, hydraulic cranes)Davit cranes (load testing with water weights)Man-riding liftsLeadership & CoordinationOversee a team of technicians and contractors on siteLiaise with project management to support delivery of inspection tooling and solutionsManage small procurement tasks (Create and manage documentation, including PDFs and inspection reportsOversee data entry and tracking via digital systems (e.g. Motion Kinetic & My Compliance)Health & SafetySupervise team members with a strong focus on safe work practicesLead toolbox talks and participate in safety planningReport and challenge unsafe behaviours and conditionsContribute to safety improvement initiatives and incident reportingQuality ControlReview daily inspection reports and ensure completeness and accuracyLog non-conformities and contribute to continuous quality improvementPerform annual reviews of documents and SOPsConduct LOLER/PUWER inspections on company assets pre- and post-deploymentParticipate in root cause analysis where applicableEnvironmental ComplianceEnsure proper disposal of waste in line with project and environmental policiesRequirementsEssential Skills & QualificationsProficient in Microsoft Office and reporting platforms (e.g. My Compliance, Motion Kinetic)LEEA Foundation (working towards General Diploma)Strong understanding of LOLER, PUWER, PSSR, and fire safety regulationsHands-on experience in PFPE and loose lifting equipment inspectionWorking knowledge of COSHH regulations and calibration practicesTMSE inspection training and experienceBAFE Fire Extinguisher InspectionCrane and service lift inspection (including wire rope knowledge)Full UK clean driving licenceGWO BST (including Sea Survival)GWO BTTOGUK MedicalWind Turbine Safety Rules (WTSR)5+ years' experience in a similar roleApprenticeship or vocational training in mechanical/electrical disciplineDesirableBackground in maintenance and troubleshooting of offshore equipmentAdditional crane/service lift certifications or demonstrable equivalent experience
