Whether youre a seasoned expert.About the Role - As a Subcontract Manager you will be responsible the management and successful delivery of strategic subcontracts. This role ensures that strategic subcontracted work is performed in accordance with the contract requirements, company policies, and applicable regulations, while achieving cost-effectiveness and minimizing risk. The Subcontract Manager will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including project management, procurement, engineering, legal, and finance, as well as external stakeholders.ResponsibilitiesSubcontract Management:Draft and co-ordinate relevant work packages and associated statements of work, ensuring robustness of requirements and alignment between relevant parties.Develop and implement subcontract management plans that align with overall organization and specific program objectives.Administer and interpret subcontract terms and conditions, ensuring compliance by both parties.Monitor and evaluate subcontractor performance against contractual requirements, including key performance indicators (KPIs) including by leading relevant monthly reviews and organizing quarterly strategic reviews.Identify and proactively address potential risks and issues related to subcontractor performance, developing and implementing mitigation plans.Manage changes to subcontracts, including scope adjustments, schedule revisions, cost modifications.Deploy effective initiatives in supplier relationship management, supplier performance management, and supplier development.Organizational Program Integration:Serve as the primary interface between the program management team and strategic subcontractor(s).Integrate subcontractor activities and deliverables into the overall organizational program schedule and plan.Ensure effective communication and collaboration between subcontractors and internal program teams (e.g., engineering, quality, procurement).Participate in program management reviews and other project-related meetings as required.Ensure that all activities are performed in accordance with company policies and procedures and comply with overall program goals and schedules.Stakeholder Management:Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with subcontractors.Effectively communicate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on objectives and priorities.Manage expectations of both internal and external stakeholders regarding subcontracted work.Financial and Schedule Management:Monitor and control subcontractor costs against the established budget.Track subcontractor progress against the agreed-upon schedule and identify potential delays.Implement corrective actions to address cost overruns or schedule slippages.Contribute to the development of program budgets and forecasts related to subcontracted activities.Quality Assurance:Ensure that subcontractors adhere to program quality standards and requirements.Monitor subcontractor quality performance and facilitate any necessary corrective actions.Participate in quality audits of subcontractors as required.Risk Management:Identify, assess, and manage risks associated with subcontractors.Develop and implement risk mitigation plans and contingency strategies.Escalate critical risks and issues to program leadership as necessary.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management.
