A rapidly expanding freight forwarding organisation are looking to add an ocean import customs clerk to their growing team, the role is to bebe responsible for handling ocean import shipments, coordinating with customs agents, preparing import documentation, and ensuring compliance with import regulations.Applying for this role is straight forward Scroll down and click on Apply to be considered for this position.ROLE: Ocean import Customs BASIC SALARY: 25k to 35k LOCATION: EssexROLE: Knowledge of import regulations and customs procedures for Ocean shipments is essential, road freight experience is a bonus, but you dont have to have that, ocean freight is main experience as the client is more of an ocean freight forwarder.Experience in import documentation and coordination with customs agents, essential skills physically logging customs entries. Systems use CNS, Destin8, and Multifreight. Some basic grasp of the process the rest can be taught.Attention to detail and strong organizational skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal abilitiesProficiency in relevant software and systems for import processingEXPERIENCE REQUIRED:The role is predominantly Ocean/Sea import from start to finish including logging customs clearances using CNS, Destin8, and Multifreight.
