WE'RE HIRING: Project Quantity Surveyor Division: Surveying Location: Site-based is Grays, Essex Reports to: Senior Quantity Surveyor Direct Reports: Assistant & Trainee QSs Are you an ambitious Quantity Surveyor ready to take the lead on high-impact construction projects across substructure, steel frame, cladding, MEP, and industrial/office fit-outs? Were expanding our Commercial Surveying team and looking for a Site Quantity Surveyor whos technically sharp, commercially astute, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.The full job description covers all associated skills, previous experience, and any qualifications that applicants are expected to have.What Youll Be Working On Youll be at the heart of multiple live sites, working closely with clients, subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams.From managing applications for payment and internal valuations to tracking costs, producing KPIs, and handling subcontractor accounts, you'll be a key player in our project delivery process.Key responsibilities include: Preparing and managing valuations, applications, forecasts, and cashflows Administering all aspects of subcontractor procurement and management Tracking and reporting on progress, materials, site records, and project variations Producing and maintaining accurate cost, performance, and progress documentation Ensuring contractual notifications and compensation events are issued on time Supporting and mentoring junior commercial staff on-site Youll Need to Bring 2 A-Levels and 5 GCSEs (Grade C or above), ideally supplemented by a degree or diploma Strong IT skills (Microsoft Suite, COINS, Adobe) Proven understanding of site-based construction surveying Familiarity with utilities, external works, fencing, lighting, roads, and civils Excellent organisational, communication, and time management skills CSCS card (or willingness to obtain) Full UK Driving Licence What Success Looks Like Were looking for someone whos proactive, detail-focused, and thrives in a collaborative environment.Youll have the chance to shape projects from the ground upliterallyfrom early-stage RFC works and steel frames to fit-out completion.Youll be given autonomy, support, and development opportunities in return for delivering quality and driving performance on-site.Why Join Us 37.5-hour work week (MonFri, 08:3017:30) 26 days annual leave 8 bank holidays (Christmas shutdown included) Company car or car allowance Annual discretionary bonus scheme Structured onboarding, 6-month probation review, and long-term career path
